Tuesday when I came home, & Wrinkles met me @ the door. We are not sure how she got out because the crate isn't broken. We attributed it the fact that we had our pool closed Tuesday, so pool guys were walking around our yard half the day. Getting her toys out, I noticed that she had a little #2 accident. She has not had one accident at all since we've had her. So here's my question: Could the stress of having pool guys invading her turf cause her to loose control?

It could have been anxiety. The fact that she deficated, may be out of fear or separation anxiety Dogs do not like to eliminate where they sleep, so she will avoid doing that if she can, when in the crate. Deficating due to a territorial invasion is a clear sign of insecurity and woukd need to be addressed. It could turn into a far worst behavior. Just monitor her for a while and make sure she isn't reacting to anyone else in the same manner. If not, we can visit the separation anxiety angle.
